Estudio Efimero was born in 2020 as a Costa Rican architecture and interior design office.

We think of architecture not as a single practice, but as several interlocking ones. Landscapes are inseparable from structures, ecology is inseparable from building requirements, and improving human relationships is the ultimate goal of any project.

Living and working here has taught us the value of simplicity, adaptability, and respect for nature. From the lush tropics to the arid coasts and misty highlands, Costa Rica has shown us that good design isn't just about aesthetics, it's about responding to climate, celebrating context, and creating spaces that support the way people truly live.

Our practice focuses on both private and public architecture. We are passionate about crafting intimate, personal spaces like homes and retreats, but equally invested in designing spaces that are open to the public. Spaces that foster connection, community, and shared experience.
